About the role

As our Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular + UX), you will bridge the gap between design and technology. You will create intuitive, performant and visually engaging user interfaces for Fancom One - our intelligent control system that brings modern livestock farming to the next level.

In this role, you combine your expertise in Angular development with your passion for user experience and interface design. You will be responsible for translating complex data and real-time processes into clear, accessible and attractive interfaces that make a difference in the daily lives of farmers.

You will work in a cross-functional team of 14 professionals – developers, QA engineers and product managers, who share a passion for building reliable, high-quality software with a clean and modern design.

About Fancom One

Fancom One is our smart ecosystem for livestock farms. It combines an intuitive HMI with a house computer that controls the climate, feeding, and ventilation systems to ensure optimal animal well-being and sustainability.

Our frontend is built with Angular (TypeScript) and communicates with backends written in Go and C++ through real-time data streams (WebSockets). You will help design and implement dashboards, configuration screens and control interfaces that merge functionality, usability and aesthetics.

Your responsibilities

Design and develop modern, responsive and high-performance Angular applications
Translate user needs into intuitive UI designs and seamless user experiences
Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for real-time data
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to shape UX concepts and workflows
Build design prototypes in Figma and translate them into reusable Angular components
Ensure visual and functional consistency across the platform
Work closely with backend developers and QA engineers to deliver high-quality releases
Contribute to architecture decisions, design systems, and frontend strategy
Mentor team members and promote best practices in frontend development and UX design

What we are looking for

A degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field (HBO/WO level)
Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer with strong UX/UI design skills
Excellent knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, and SCSS
Experience designing and implementing responsive and accessible UIs
Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and user flows
Experience with Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping
Familiarity with real-time data applications (e.g. WebSockets) is a plus
Strong knowledge of test design techniques and test methods
A hands-on mindset and a proactive attitude
Strong analytical and communication skills in English – Dutch is a plus
A passion for user experience, quality, and continuous improvement
